ezra's clothes

what do my clothes say about the social bubble I live in?

bootcut and louis bag for the win

if you should ever see me in the streets, chances are very high i will be wearing this exact outfit. i like to call it uniform, but that’s like calling yourself chef carmy after adding store bought pesto to your undercooked pasta (except that the latter would at least be kind of funny). so yeah… it’s basic. but in a good way? what compensates it is my love, my all, my spring/summer 2005 marc jacobs era louis vuitton baggy pm. a woman on tiktok once said you need to dress like a homeless person to look good wearing a monogrammed designer hand bag, while that’s a bit of an exaggeration, i get the sentiment.

sparkle for whatever

three years ago i won an invite to a pre-shopping event for the mugler h&m collaboration, which to me felt like attending the met gala. in a way this was the beginning of my fashion journey (or at least the a bit better part of it), because the outfit i went there wearing was absolutely horrible. i hope no pictures of that night will ever be leaked. but i left with two quite cool pieces, actually the first cool pieces of mine. somehow i seriously thought this sheer skin tight black rhinestone top would be a great investment, since it would be so versatile i could even wear it to school. i ended up never wearing it to class, rhinestones digging into your skin aren’t the most comfortable thing to wear to a chemistry exam. even though, i was going to fail the exam anyways so why not with a bit of glamour? i ended up wearing the top and the spiral jeans, though sometimes questionably styled, to many other cute occasions and kind of still love them.

skinny tie to the movie premier

what should you were to a movie premier? i don’t know. from experience, i’d probably show up in vintage dior homme by hedi slimane skinny jeans and skinny tie. to make it feel a bit more me i added something I assume hedi might find kind of funny and love me for but would probably much rather kill me for: a pink lululemon define jacket, famed on tiktok as the bbl jacket. even though the define jacket is part of every tiktok influencers uniform (ha uniform!) it is actually construction wise quite interesting. the seams that are incorporated around the bust have been part of traditional dress making for centuries.

my school merch is a track suit

in my last year as member of the student organization i was able to seize all power after two years of plotting. i decided it’s time for new school merchandise and it shouldn’t be some fake Harvard merch again but instead something really cool. i created blue and pink track suits with designs of mine stitched onto them. a friend who was also a member of the students organization knew the founder of zurich’s coolest and hippest streetwear brand and they produced the track suits for us. when i’m near the school sometimes I often see students wearing the track suit. that’s really exciting. isn't it?
